Basscon Seattle 2026: Set Times for Darren Styles and DJ Isaac

Basscon had the outdoor yard at The Boxyard on Friday, September 4. Doors at 6 PM, one stage, over by midnight, 21-and-over. Insomniac put the bill out with the June 29 on-sale and never published a running order for it.

Six names on it, which was one more than the announcement had. Insomniac’s event page listed five: Alyssa Jolee, Audiofreq, Code Black, Darren Styles, DJ Isaac. The Front Gate page that sold the tickets printed a block headed LINEUP A-Z with Vinsin at the bottom of it. Vinsin is a Seattle hard dance DJ who has played Basscon’s Substation nights before, on the AniMe bill in February 2025 and behind DJ Isaac that August. So the likeliest opener was on one official page and missing from the other. Nobody ever said who went on first.

The set times never came out. Nothing arrived with the announcement and neither Insomniac page ever posted a grid. A-Z was the ticketing page’s own header, so the order it printed told you nothing about the shape of the night.

What was fixed going in:

• Doors and music at 6 PM. The event page ran the night to midnight, and the calendar file Front Gate handed out ended it at 11:55.
• One stage, and it was outside. Insomniac’s own on-sale page called the room “Victory Hall Outdoors,” which is the yard at The Boxyard rather than the hall.
• 21-and-over, six hours, five sets or six.

Audiofreq and Code Black used to be one act. Sam Gonzalez and Corey Soljan built Bioweapon in Australia around 2008, signed it to Scantraxx in the Netherlands, and ended it in 2011 to go solo. A Bioweapon album called Time Capsule came out in 2025. Both of them were booked here under their own names, and no announcement mentioned a back to back.

Two of the six have been at this since the 90s, in different corners of the hard stuff. Darren Styles has been making UK hardcore since the mid-90s, first as half of Force & Styles, and took Skydivin’ to No. 4 in the UK album chart in 2008. DJ Isaac is Roel Schutrups, out of the southern Netherlands, running since the 90s and co-founder of the X-Rated Records label with DJ Zany in 2003; Insomniac’s artist page calls DJ Isaac one of the founders of hardstyle. Alyssa Jolee is the hard techno booking on the bill, out of Long Beach.

Sunset in Seattle on September 4 was 7:45 PM, so the first hour and three quarters of a 6 PM door happened in daylight and everything after it didn’t.

Worth carrying into next year: Basscon’s Seattle dates go on sale without a running order and don’t get one. Plan the night around the door time, because that is the only number Insomniac commits to.
